Katerina Gerus is an expert in sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and international charity, experienced financial adviser and coach.
For more than 15 years Katerina has been managing NGOs and banking projects being responsible for operations and raising money for charitable initiatives and commercial projects.
From 2002 -2008 she worked in different investment banks and financial organisations in Russia, Germany, Ukraine and the UK. Her employers included KPMG, Renaissance Capital and Financial Corporation URALSIB.
In 2009 Katerina moved to social business and since then has been managing NGOs, Endowment funds and social projects in Russia and Europe. From 2016-2020 Katerina was a COO of an international think tank based in Germany.

Katerina Gerus created a consulting agency ESG Consulting in order to provide support to companies for the creation and development of their social responsibility projects and integration of sustainable development (ESG) factors into business.

Since 2020
Since 2020 the agency ESG Consulting supports companies from different sectors in integrating ESG agenda in their activity. The agency carries out ESG audit, educates and coaches managers and employees, develops ESG strategy, prepares sustainable development reports, develops CSR and ESG projects, helps to obtain and increase ESG rating, assist in green and social bonds issue.Among the clients are TRINFICO Group, Expondo GmbH, Kronospan Group, AVIKOMP Group, banks, large developers, network of hypermarkets, large production companies, steel, mining and chemical holdings. -

Katerina was COO of the international think tank Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute created in 2016 in Berlin, with offices in Vienna and Moscow.

She was an Executive Director of ISTOKI Endowment Fund. Under her management, the Fund was created and has become the 6th largest endowment fund in Russia.
